Welcome to Pebble's Privacy Policy

For Kids

This page explains how Pebble looks after your information. It's written for your parent, but you can read it too.

Hi parents! We care deeply about your family's privacy. This policy explains how Pebble, operated by Generative Spark Inc., collects, uses, and protects information from both you and your child when you use our voice-based thought partner across web, mobile, and smart-TV apps.

If you have any questions, please reach us anytime at privacy@iampebble.com.

By using Pebble, you agree to this Privacy Policy and to our Terms and Conditions.

1. Who We Are

For Kids

Pebble is made by a small company called Generative Spark. We built Pebble to help you think, learn, and create.

Pebble is a voice-based thought partner for children and parents, designed to support creativity, curiosity, and learning. The data controller responsible for your personal information is:

Generative Spark Inc.
Registered in Delaware, USA
Email: privacy@iampebble.com

2. What Information We Collect

For Kids

To work, Pebble needs some information about you — your name, your age, what you say, and what you draw. We only collect what's needed.

We collect information to make Pebble work smoothly and safely for your family.

a. Information you provide

b. Information collected automatically

3. How We Use Your Information

For Kids

We use your information to make Pebble work and to make it better over time. We never sell it, and we don't show you ads.

We use your and your child's data to:

We never sell personal data. We do not use your or your child's personal data to train or improve artificial intelligence or machine learning models unless you give us explicit permission. With your opt-in consent, we may use:

A single opt-in covers both uses: opting in enables both, and opting out (the default) excludes both. The opt-in is a clear, separate choice in the Pebble app, off by default, and you are not required to give it to use Pebble. For children, only a parent or guardian can opt their child in. Before any recordings or transcripts are used for training or model improvement, we apply automated, best-effort redaction to remove personally identifiable information (such as names, email addresses, and phone numbers). Because automated redaction is imperfect, we cannot guarantee that every piece of personal information will be removed. You can withdraw your consent at any time in the app or by contacting privacy@iampebble.com. Aside from these uses, we only use your data to run and improve Pebble.

4. Who We Share Data With

For Kids

Pebble uses other companies to handle parts of its job — like turning your voice into words, or giving Pebble a voice to speak with. Those companies are only allowed to use your information to help Pebble work.

We share limited data with trusted partners who help us operate Pebble safely and effectively:

These partners only process data on Pebble's behalf and must meet strict confidentiality, safety, and compliance standards. We never allow them to use data for their own marketing or profiling.

5. How Long We Keep Information

For Kids

We keep your information while you're using Pebble. When your account is closed, we delete it.

Audio recordings, transcripts, and photos of work are retained for the life of the account and deleted when the account is closed. Parents may request deletion of specific data at any time. If you have given opt-in consent for model training and improvement (see Section 3), any of your recordings or transcripts that have already been incorporated into a training or fine-tuning dataset are stored in redacted form and may persist within that dataset after consent withdrawal or account deletion, as removing a single sample from a trained model is not technically feasible; we will, however, stop using your data for any new training or improvement runs as soon as you withdraw consent or delete your account.

You can review or erase your family's data anytime by contacting privacy@iampebble.com.

If you delete your account, all related personal data is securely removed unless laws require us to keep it (for example, for payment or legal compliance).

6. How We Protect Information

For Kids

We use security tools — like encryption — to keep other people from getting your information.

We use strong technical and organizational safeguards to protect data, including:

While no system can be 100% secure, we do everything possible to protect your data from loss, misuse, or unauthorized access.

7. Your Rights (Parents and Guardians)

For Kids

Your parent can see everything Pebble knows about you, fix it, or ask us to delete it at any time.

You have the right to:

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at privacy@iampebble.com.

8. Children's Privacy

For Kids

Pebble follows special rules to protect kids' privacy. Your parent has to agree before you can use Pebble, and they can stop your account at any time.

We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), GDPR and GDPR-UK.

If you believe a child has used Pebble without parental consent, contact us immediately so we can delete the account.

9. International Users

For Kids

Pebble is built in the United States, but kids use it everywhere. The same protections apply wherever you live.

Pebble is based in the United States but serves families around the world. If you're outside the US, your data may be processed and stored in the United States or other countries where our trusted partners operate.

We apply the same protections everywhere and ensure transfers meet GDPR and GDPR-UK standards.

10. Updates to This Policy

For Kids

If we change these rules, we'll let your parent know before the changes take effect.

We may occasionally update this Privacy Policy to reflect improvements or legal changes. When we do, we'll post the new version here and update the effective date.

If major changes affect how your family's data is used, we'll notify you by email or in the Pebble app before they take effect.

11. Contact Us
